April 1st is April Fools' Day, which also marks the end of our semester exams. Following this, a series of exciting campus activities will take place, adding vibrant colors to the school life of students and teachers.

4 月 3 日(四)是龍岡日。1960 年,世界龍岡親義總會在香港宣告成立,並將每年 4 月 4 日定為龍岡日。「四姓一家,四海一家」,這個特殊的日子蘊含著深厚的寓意,旨在弘揚「忠、義、仁、勇」的崇高精神。每年的這一天,我們的辦學團體都會精心組織旗下四所學校共同慶祝。大家齊聚一堂,舉辦莊重的頒獎禮,展現同學們的學業成果;欣賞活力四溢的學生表演,感受青春的蓬勃朝氣;參與溫馨的茶聚,促進彼此間的交流與團結。
April 3rd (Thursday) is Lung Kong Day. In 1960, the World Dragon Gang Friendship Association was established in Hong Kong, declaring April 4th as Dragon Gang Day each year. "Four families as one, all seas as one" conveys deep meaning, aiming to promote the noble spirits of "loyalty, righteousness, benevolence, and courage." Every year, our educational group organizes a celebration with the four affiliated schools.

今年的龍岡日活動在沙田區黃耀南小學舉行。以往,活動多在大角咀劉皇發中學舉辦,然而今年中學禮堂被徵用為公開考試場地,地點的變動絲毫未減大家的熱情。活動當天,嘉賓雲集,小小的禮堂擠得滿滿當當。我校低年級的英詩集誦隊登台亮相,孩子們臉上掛著燦爛的笑容,全身心投入表演。其中一位同學身著飛龍服飾,格外引人注目。表演前的學業及操行獎項頒發環節,更是激勵着同學們不斷進步。在這裏,師生們不僅能與辦學團隊的成員相聚,互相鼓勵支持,還能和四姓的世長、世誼親切交流,就像一大家子人歡聚一堂,溫馨而美好。
This year's Lung Kong Day activities were held at Wong Yiu Nam Primary School in Sha Tin. In the past, the event was often held at Liu Wong Fat Secondary School in Tai Kok Tsui, but this year, the secondary school hall was repurposed as an exam venue, and this change did not diminish the enthusiasm of everyone. On the day of the event, many guests attended, and the small hall was filled to capacity. Our lower-grade English poetry recitation team took the stage, and the children displayed radiant smiles, fully engaged in their performances. One student, dressed in a dragon costume, was particularly eye-catching. The academic and conduct awards ceremony before the performances inspired students to continually improve. Here, teachers and students not only gathered with members of the educational team for mutual encouragement and support but also had friendly exchanges with the four clan representatives, creating a warm and beautiful family atmosphere.

4 月 5 日(六),學校參加了屯門文娛廣場舉行的「傳承中華文化、關愛共融社區」嘉年華。當天下着細雨,可老師和同學們依然積極參與。高年級英詩集誦隊在舞台上克服了場地和環境帶來的不便,順利完成表演。而學校負責的中國生肖攤位遊戲,吸引了眾多人排起長隊參與,讓大家欣喜不已。
On April 5th (Saturday), the school participated in the "Inheriting Chinese Culture, Caring for Inclusive Communities" carnival held at Tuen Mun Cultural Square. Despite the light rain, teachers and students actively participated. The senior-grade English poetry recitation team successfully completed their performance on stage, overcoming difficulties related to the venue and environment. Our school’s Chinese zodiac game booth attracted many people, who lined up to join in the fun.

今年,學校成功申請到教育局的「同根同心」內地交流團項目。30 位四至六年級的同學踏上了為期三日兩夜的西安之旅,主題是「西安歷史文化及航天科技探索之旅」。在西安,同學們穿梭在歷史文化景點之間,感受着古老文明的魅力;體驗着當地的風俗民情,品味着不一樣的生活韻味;目睹城鄉建設的新貌,感受祖國的發展變化;深入了解航天科技成果,開拓了科技視野。具體活動詳情可在學校網頁查看。
This year, the school successfully applied for the Education Bureau's "Same Root, Same Heart" Mainland exchange program. Thirty students from grades four to six embarked on a three-day, two-night trip to Xi'an, themed "Exploring Xi'an's Historical Culture and Aerospace Technology." In Xi'an, students visited historical cultural sites, experiencing the charm of ancient civilization; engaged with local customs and flavors; witnessed the new developments in urban and rural construction; and learned about aerospace technology achievements, broadening their technological horizons. 4 月 10 日(四),約 70 位四至六年級同學前往昂船洲軍營駐香港部隊展覽中心參觀。此次參觀意義非凡,同學們不僅能領略中華民族的燦爛文明和偉大成就,更能提升維護國家安全的意識,增強國民身份認同感。
On April 10th (Thursday), about 70 students from grades four to six visited the Hong Kong Garrison Exhibition Center at Stonecutters Island. This visit was significant, as students not only appreciated the brilliance of Chinese civilization and great achievements but also enhanced their awareness of national security and strengthened their national identity.

4 月 11 日(六),學校為促進教師專業發展,組織了深圳交流活動。上午,22 位老師前往深圳市南山中英文學校參觀。這所學校在深圳十分有名,學生和教職員工眾多,校舍規模宏大,各種設施一應俱全,簡直像個大「迷宮」。老師們一進校園,就被這裡的氣勢所吸引,像孩子般充滿好奇。該校同學們的精彩表演,更是讓大家印象深刻。雙方校長相互介紹了各自學校的辦學理念和特色,交流收穫滿滿,還約定日後繼續交流合作。下午,老師們前往龍崗區的紅立方科技館。考慮到香港小學課程即將改革,科學科和人文科將取代常識科,老師們急需提升自我。科技館通過生動有趣的方式講解科學理論,老師們既學到了新知識,又放鬆了身心,收穫頗豐。
On April 11th (Saturday), to promote teachers' professional development, the school organized an exchange activity in Shenzhen. In the morning, 22 teachers visited Nanshan International Chinese-English School in Shenzhen, a well-known institution with a large number of students and staff and extensive facilities, resembling a big "maze." Upon entering the campus, teachers were captivated by its grandeur and filled with childlike curiosity. The impressive performances by the students left a deep impression on everyone. Both principals exchanged introductions about their respective schools' educational philosophies and features, resulting in a fruitful exchange, and they agreed to continue collaborative efforts in the future. In the afternoon, teachers visited the Red Cube Science and Technology Museum in Longgang District. Considering the upcoming reform of the Hong Kong primary school curriculum, where science and humanities will replace general studies, teachers felt the need to enhance their skills. The museum explained scientific theories in engaging ways, allowing teachers to gain new knowledge while relaxing and enjoying themselves.

四月中旬,學校迎來近一星期的假期,老師們利用這段時間完成出題和試卷準備工作。4 月 23 日(五)的閱讀日,學校邀請作家為同學們舉辦講座,我還為每位師生準備了《媽媽的頭髮去哪兒了?》繪本,並製作了中、英文版簡報。此外,和老師們共同策劃了豐富的活動,引導學生跨閱讀學習。同學們積極參與,在活動中不僅提升了學習興趣,還受到了價值教育的熏陶。
In mid-April, the school welcomed nearly a week of holidays, during which teachers completed exam paper preparations. On April 23rd (Friday), during Reading Day, the school invited an author to hold a lecture for students and prepared a picture book titled "Where Does Mama's Hair Go?" for every teacher and student, along with bilingual presentations. Additionally, we organized rich activities to guide students in cross-reading learning. Students actively participated, enhancing their learning interest while receiving value education.

4 月 24 日至 25 日的主題活動日,課程組為各年級挑選了適合的繪本,延續閱讀日精神。同時,根據繪本內容安排參觀地點,幫助同學們將閱讀和實踐相結合。活動第二天,同學們製作參觀相關「作品」並分享成果,落實「經歷為本」的教育理念。一年級前往海洋公園探索海洋世界;二年級走進環保園增強環保意識;三年級參觀三棟屋博物館了解傳統村落文化;四年級到大坑火龍文化館感受民俗魅力;五年級去志蓮淨苑體驗佛教文化與建築之美;六年級赴太空館探索宇宙奧秘。
From April 24th to 25th, the themed activity days continued the spirit of Reading Day by selecting suitable picture books for each grade. Based on the content of the books, we arranged visits to relevant locations, helping students connect reading with practical experiences. On the second day of the activities, students created related "works" from their visits and shared their outcomes, reinforcing the educational philosophy of "experience-based learning." Grade one visited Ocean Park to explore the ocean world; grade two went to the Environmental Park to enhance environmental awareness; grade three visited the Sam Tung Uk Museum to learn about traditional village culture; grade four went to the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Cultural Centre to appreciate folk customs; grade five visited the Chi Lin Nunnery to experience Buddhist culture and architectural beauty; and grade six went to the Space Museum to explore cosmic mysteries.

4 月 26 日(週六)的家長日,主要活動是派發成績表,方便老師和家長面對面交流,讓家長了解孩子在校情況。和往常一樣,家長日還安排了書展。對於六年級同學來說,這次是最後一次呈分試,班主任借此和家長討論中央派位安排。
On April 26th (Saturday), Parent Day focused on distributing report cards to facilitate face-to-face communication between teachers and parents, allowing parents to understand their children's school situations. As usual, a book fair was also held on Parent Day. For grade six students, this was the last formative assessment, and class teachers used this opportunity to discuss central allocation arrangements with parents.

時光飛逝,轉眼間本學年即將步入尾聲,只剩下三個月的時間。回顧四月,豐富多彩的活動見證了師生們的成長與收穫,也為校園生活留下了難忘的回憶。期待在接下來的日子裡,師生們能繼續攜手前行,共同創造更多美好。
Time flies, and the school year is nearing its end, with only three months left. Looking back at April, the rich and colorful activities witnessed the growth and achievements of students and teachers, leaving unforgettable memories in school life. We look forward to continuing our journey together, creating more wonderful moments in the days to come.
